HIT then Double major in Accounting/MIS..A Good Idea?
I would like to work in medical records. I am considering getting a two year degree in Health Information Technology (HIT) which will qualify me for RHIT. But I would also like to get a baccalaureate degree. I was thinking of this program with a double major in Management Information Systems and Accounting. As I said I would like to work with medical records or medical information processing, extracting, archiving, and presentation. But Accounting will help me in regards to accounts payables and coding/reimbursements. Management Information Systems will familiarize me with maintaining computer hardware/software, networks, and databases management. IS THE DOUBLE MAJOR TOO Much for someone who wants to work with medical records or manage a medical records department?

If you concentrate on such a specific area you might run into problems when you are looking for a job.
Employers are really turned on by the MBA qualification and you should consider working for that.
