Inventory Management?
My company has several branch offices as well as equipment (PCs and such) at employees houses.
I’m looking for some free software that will manage all of the equipment I have, PCs, routers, etc. I need to be able to track the equipment is (Main Office, John Smith’s House, etc) as well as be able to easily move equipment from one location to another.
What’s out there that does this?

Other than cost accounting for manufacturing, inventory control is close to the most difficult accounting task.
From your description, you do not need an inventory management application. You should be able to effectively track this stuff using Excel or another spreadsheet. It’s easy to set up, easy to understand, easy to modify and correct.
The most difficult issue is managing the process of reporting the inventory movement. What’s the process that ensures the employee will accurately and timely report that he/she has moved their equipment from the office to home? And then back? The computer application can’t do that. That requires human management.
